I love and adore our Shih Tzus and cherish spending time with them. They are unmatched companion, full of joy, curiosity and zest for life whilst remaining fiercely independent, snooty and aloof.

Too often breeders names, puppy and dog images are copied from websites such as this and used in advertising of phantom sales of puppies and dogs causing immeasurable pain, psychological and financial damage.

I have no way of preventing images published here from being mis-used in this manner. However to deter such activity I have identified all published images with a copyright and trademark sign. I recommend that you reverse search all the images published on dog selling sites to check if they have been lifted from their source publications.

Dealing with artistic and documentary fakes and forgeries is part of my day job so running checks is a second nature for me. Whilst perusing Gumtree ads I have noticed two fake ads for pure bred Shih Tzu. I recommend you verify everyone claiming to be a registered breeder by running a check on the Australian national ANKC site for breeder's prefix or number or both at https://ankc.org.au, Master Dog Breeders Association, Dogs (respective state). Be aware some scammers will use the real breeders' prefixes and numbers so additional cross checks are necessary. You may look for issues with real time video communication and pressure for payment but there maybe other signs or inconsistencies in con artists' story.
